Is there a way to determine who your car insurance carrier is based on tag or title information?
My fiancee aparently has car insurance, you lose your license in the state of Florida without it, however she has no idea who the coverage is through. Any thoughts?

- It is whoever she makes payments to. She is not being completely honest with you.
- Is the vehicle still being financed? Normally the finance company will require proof of insurance, so they may be able to tell you who you're insured through.
- Both are good answers. However she paid (checking account, credit card, etc.), should have a record who she paid when, in their statements (online if she threw them out). And if financed, and her lender has no current record of insurance, she will get charged an outragious amount for their own insurance (to cover their liablility, not hers). But really all you should have to do is look at the card the insurance company issued that she should keep in the vehicle, or the copy she should keep in her purse in case she drives someone else's vehicle or rental. Every day she drives without that is a big risk that she could lose her driver's license and plates, and have to provide her own legal defense in an accident (even if not her fault).
- If it's YOUR car and YOUR tag, it will be on YOUR renewal registration, in most states. You'll want to research this some more.... http://www.surveyland.org/jump.php?link=insurance Have a nice day.
